Olympic Torch passing my home town

The weather this summer has been all over the place. We’ve had so much cloud and rain over the past month and then suddenly this outburst of sun. It’s like a heat wave at the moment. It is a nice pleasant change. After hearing about the jet stream every bloody day on the weather it’s nice to have some sun.

Today is such a beautiful day. I woke up and looked outside my window and it just made me smile. The sky is a clear brilliant blue without a single cloud and everything just looks so much more beautiful. The colour of the sky on a summer’s day is my favourite colour. Everything just looks so green too!!! My garden is full of bushes and plants and trees of every kind of green imaginable. Everything is fluttering in the light breeze and illuminated by the brightness. I am a classic weather affects the mood person haha! I just feel so happy and want to go outside and sunbathe but being dark skinned that’s not the best idea. I just burn and roast like chicken on a barbeque.

Yesterday I went to see the Olympic torch with my mum and brother as it came past my home town. I had seen it when I was at university and saw it again yesterday. It was a beautiful day and people were outside lining the streets, happy and cheerful ready with their cameras and waving flags. It was such a great atmosphere. People were all dressed for the hot weather in shorts and dresses and shades. Children were running round with ice creams. It was nice! I had never seen anything like it in my home town and it was nice to be part of it.
The crowds lining the street waiting for the torch to come.

The torch bearer just passing the spot where I was.
